The success and impact of the original Resilient Minds Building the Psychological Strength of Firefighters program inspired the demand for an adaptation for Community Workers.
This evidence-based, peer-led psychological awareness program, launching in spring 2025, is designed to strengthen the psychological well-being of individuals working on the frontline in a variety of organizations. This includes those working in social services, outreach, crisis and recovery, transit, housing, community health, and much more.
These individuals work in potentially distressing environments that pose a high-risk to their mental well-being. As a group, community workers experience moderate- to high-levels of stress daily.
Resilient Minds is delivered by certified CMHA Ontario instructors.
